beat the crowd, surf in the afternoon

this might be not a valid slogan for the ocean or crowded surfspots. but that type behavior works at bremgarten when everbody else needs to work on a friday afternoon at 2pm :-) i enjoyed a quick session with the ant II and 6 other surfers.

a good way to start the weekend!

hendaye 2013, done

the waves were not the best during the week in hendaye. therefore we spent most of the sessions in bidart. still a great week with the growing (sgc) family. the house was HUGE and at a stunning location. food across the border in spain tasted great, so did the wine/cidre. barbecues in the backyard were big fun too.

beside my 6'6'' shortboard i brang the new ant II (5'9'') model which was a great choice for this week. it paddles really easy into the waves and turns nicely even in mushy conditions. it still makes me stoke to surf my own boards in the atlantic ocean!

the board was ridden only 3 times in portugal. a solid retroboard which is fun for mushy summer surf or slower pointbreaks.

slighty heavier rocker than the ant model, sharp rails & thruster setup. surfed for 10 days in northern spain. no pressure dings, very strong glassing. super fun for mushy waves!

4 - ant - 5'8'' x 22'' x 3''

in very good condition. only used for river surfing in bremgarten. works also well in smaller conditions. twin fin setup & 3m pad for go pro camera.

5 - ant II (new board) - 5'9'' x 22 1/16'' x 2 5/8'' 

latest board i shaped. slightly less volume than the ant model. thruster setup & plug for go pro camera.

great and light twin fin egg board, a little battered. twin fin. cheap as.

one of my experimental boards. great stick for lighter/smaller surfers who are looking for an extension of their river surf quiver. turns very nice and quick. thruster setup.

all boards use the fcs fusion fin technology (very strong as it is under the lamination) and are laminated with 1x6oz (bottom) and 2x6oz on the top.
